A Personal Message to You from our Founder and Chairman of the Board, Madhav Bhandari

Namaste ~ "Greetings" from Nepal, 

Our non-profit organization, Community Service of Nepal, has worked since 2014 to help the needy and vulnerable people here in Nepal. 

Our board officers, members, and all supporting staff are all working as volunteers to support our programs. You can see the sort of work we do on this website. We have a long history of supporting education for people of all ages and building community resources and support to healthcare.

We always look  to local government for funding first. Then, when that is not possible, we ask our many local donors in Nepal. Finally, we look online to our international supporters to help close any gaps. You are the missing link that makes many of our programs possible. 

You are an important part of our work. The current flooding emergency has created an overwhelming need for funding to meet the immediate needs of tens of thousands of victims. 

We are a group of social workers and humanitarians from right here in Nepal. We know the people. We know where to get the supplies they need. We know how to work efficiently here inside our own country. As a registered nonprofit organization in Nepal, we must obtain an independent audit and re-certify every year. We have been in good standing since 2014.

We are very experienced at this type of work because we were founded the year before the 2015 earthquake and immediately mobilized to provide emergency resources and shelter. Then, in collaboration with the Government of Nepal, we surveyed them to learn their exact needs. Using that information, we helped hundreds of vulnerable people rebuild their shattered economy by teaching them the exact skills they told us they needed to increase their ability to earn money.
